Hoards of ideas for wedding table centrepiece !!

With Miss Cutesie's upcoming Registration of Marriage, I am once again embroiled in wedding planning of sorts. I get really excited researching and sourcing ideas and attempting to make it happen. Just like the time I was looking for ideas for Miss Lawyer's!

I reckon I didn't plan my wedding very well, leaving many things to the last minute, hence, there were not many DIYs or personal touches, much to my disappointment with self.

But that is water under the bridge.

Now, with friends' wedding approaching one after the other, I can assist and offer my help. With that said, I find myself breeming with ideas for Hen Parties and wedding table centerpieces to favours and what not.

There are just SO many wedding table centrepieces to do for one's special lovey dovey day that it really is hard to choose a theme especially if one has NO idea what one wants.

Initially I thought a bright, vibrant colour theme would suit a Spring Melbourne intimate wedding affair but if my hunch is right, I reckon Miss Cutesie is looking more for a pastel pinkish hue sort of theme.

I am trying to get my head around how it'll look against the dull red backdrop with severe black and white table clothe. Perhaps we can ask the restaurant to remove the black portion? Hmmm..

Anyways, I leave you with some really beautiful centerpiece ideas... tell me, which are your favourite and which you think would be something you'll like for your wedding or wouldn't ever dream of doing at all!

#1 Pink gerberas atop mirror (seems common here in Aussie) with two tealights

#2 Love the simple flower layout

#3 Aaah.. super pinky theme and feather anyone?

#4 wow.. hanging flowers in bottles concept. See what I mean about vibrant colours?

#5 Ditch the flowers and go with candles! Though this one looks hot ish and erm... danger anyone?

#6 A simple pink style

#7 Be creative... add some fruits according to your theme.

#8 Tea lights centrepiece are beautiful for night receptions but might get a bit warm ish

#8 pink and green

#9 elegance and simplicity with baby's breath

#10 Who says veges aren't favourites? Quirky asparagus idea!

#11 One Wedding Wish has amazing wedding style concepts!

#12 Rustic centrepiece

#13 Oh-such-beautiful-flowers

#14 Flowers of all sorts and colours

#15 A mesh of pink, purple and blue still rocks!

#16 Sometimes simple is more

#17 White and peach

#18 Bye to Convention and Hello Creativity

#19 One Wedding Wish just have AMAZING flowers, I tell you!

Beautiful Wedding Centre Piece

#1 Polly wants a feather??
As I was researching for ideas for Miss Lawyer's upcoming nuptials, I came across all these ideas from Google Image. Boy, people are creative! Makes me wished I was a bit more hardworking and inspired for my own instead of lamenting about my woes. Oh well, what's over, is over.

The best thing to do is to learn from the past, look and move forward and always make the best of ones situation! Easier said then done but doable, nevertheless!

#2 Candles and petals
I really am more enthusiastic about other people's wedding. More so than my own! Wonder why...

We definitely can't do some of these for Chinese Banquets 'cos the dish is always served right smacked in the middle where else Western weddings, everyone gets their appetisers, main course and desert on individual plates leaving the middle of the table bare.

Hence, all this wondrous centre (is it centre or center? Blogger keeps auto correcting me!!) pieces!

#3 Singapore Orchids seem to be a popular choice

#4 Love the striking colour and simple arrangement

#5 Yet another simple but classy piece

#6 Like the concept but find it a bit too simple somehow

#7 Ahha! Something different, that's for sure!

#8 Ahhhh.. colours, a little bit of this and that

#9 I love the flower deco with a touch of lemon at the bottom

#10 Love the artsy cutesy feel incorporating table numbers with flowers
#11 This is just beautiful!!

#12 Nature friendly theme

#13 Lols... asparagus!! Interesting!

#14 Aaaah... definitely love this style.. can incorporate this for future parties!

#15 Must be for book lovers!

#16 Woodsy outdoor style

Looking at all this makes me want to go out and buy flowers and put them around the house!! Mr. C says that I'll have to clear up all the flowers once they've wilted and reached the end of their role of beautifying the house. Apparently, he had to cleaned them up the last two times I went back to Malaysia before him! In my defense, they were alive and pretty when I left. It would have been heartless to throw them in the bin when their time was not due...

#17 I love this purple look... can never go wrong.

#18 Flowers in bottles anyone?

#19 Candles in fish bowl!

#20 More flowers.. le sigh

So, if you are planning to get married in 2012 or even in 2013 or 2014, start your planning now!

I know you may think and feel it's too soon! Trust me, it never is. Start scouting for ideas, for what you may like in dresses, flowers, decorations and what not. Some brides already know what they like and want. Some, might like anything as long as their day looks pretty and they look and feel pretty, too.

And for the second group of brides, this is the headache especially when you're spoilt for choices or you have a tight budget to adhere to.

So, START planning TODAY! ;) Bear in mind, the early bird ALWAYS catches the worm.

Wedding ideas : Flowers and corsages!

Would love to do the flowers in bottle theme for my guests' table if budget permits. Simple and quaint.

The past few days, I have been browsing Green Wedding Shoes' blog. It is so creative and inspirationally filled with loveliness and awesomeness! The ideas, sweat and love poured into each couple's special day is just astounding, if not mind boggling as to where they get their creative juices from!

Loving this tiny flower pin ideas for the groom's and his hengdais' (brothers) lapel.

Outdoor wedding here in Australia during the lovely breezy weather is just spectacular unlike Malaysia's humid heat!

I am SO loving this cute little ideas!! Mine is going to be BLUE that's for sure!

Then again, there are just SO many ideas popping into my head seeing all this cuteness!

I think it would be lovely to see more Malaysian brides take their weddings to a whole new level...

and see some Malaysian flavour in their wedding theme!!

Bouquets here are vibrant in colour and exotic in choices of flower.

They're either bold and colourful, or demure, sweet and simple!

If not, they're pretty funky and stylish!
Thinking of making mine blue ish themed with white flowers and blue butterflies??!

Somehow, this thugs at my heart making me go "awwww...."

Such bouquets are still beautiful. Love the bride's dress!
I should have sourced for one like this instead of my tube top one. =(

Not digging the shoes but l.o.v.i.n.g how the head piece sits on the bride's hair!

This is one cute and quirky 'Mario and his princess' themed wedding...

And this is all for now...

... even with just ONE site, I've got so many ideas and I can only go with ONE idea. Dang! It's really hard to plan when one's theme is all over the place- Blue, high school and poker!

The venue where my reception and luncheon is going to be held is decorated in red and gold, inline with the auspicious Chinese theme of a Chinese restaurant. I am hoping (obviously in vain) that they might change their deco to blue and silver to suit my theme. =p

I really am trying not to be bothered of how red and gold might clash with blue and silver! People usually have ONE colour theme for the whole wedding. Whilst I'll be having two, one that is not of my choice.

Blue to Chinese apparently isn't a good colour for wedding as it's part of the funeral colours! What more to say when it's matched with white!

Oh well, I'll just feign ignorance over the clash or pray super hard to the high heavens for a miracle that I'll be able to pull it off!

LOL... hysterically.
