Hives attack

10.28pm
I hate it when I feel itchy and what more to say itchy AND pained! It means my hives are back! Am currently waiting for the Zyrtec my hubby made me consumed to kick into effect and sooth my itch away.

In 2010 when I was living in Brisbane, the hives first made their appearance. I probably blogged about it before, so check out archives around May or June 2010 to read about it.

I don't like eating medicine, if I can help it. After 'tahan'ing my itch and pain for a few weeks, I gave in to Zyrtec and lived on it (an anti-histamine) for the next half of 2010. I'll eat it every morning before any itchiness appears 'cos better to have it before the hives appear.

That and I just got plain sick and tired of being itchy and pained every single day.

Once I moved to Melbourne, it miraculously stopped. I reckoned it was some pollen where I lived that was causing the hives. And now, it's made a come back. Drat that!

I still think it's pollens. 'Cos this all started about 2 weeks back when we went jogging. Since then, I've had hives attack about 3 times now. This is just SO annoying. I had to take sick leave last week  due to swelling of my eyes.

Anyways, Mr. C is making an appointment for me with a doctor (I'll call him Dr. Saviour if he can provide a definite answer to the cause of my allergies) who specialises in allergies. He gets really worked up when I break out in hives and today's hives were really naughty having a gala time on my tummy, lower back, thighs and back of calves.

Thanks to K, my colleague for providing a list of allergy doctors to check out.

Let's hope Dr. Saviour will truly save me from more hive appearances!

10.41pm
Hey... guess what?? Zyrtec pulled through. No longer in pain and the swelling has subsided. Phew....

Our Wedding with Nigel Sia

As I blogged previously about Nigel's good works.

The below are the video stills he took from his video of the day. You can read about my special day from his point of view on his blog post HERE. The below pictures are also featured on his blog and FB page.

Finally, HERE is the link to the wedding highlights for Mr. C and my day. All I have to say is, a photographer captures moments and immortalises them but a videographer does that and even more so.

Check his work out at http://www.nigelsia.com or his Facebook page!

Wedding Videographer

Due to some nonsense that I've exceeded my photo quota and hence, can't upload any photos unless I pay AUD2++ a month for 25GB, this is going to be an 'all words' post. It's been awhile.

**************************************************

We met when we were 16 year olds. Cutting the long and complicated story, short, Mr. C and I 'got together' and  started an exclusive relationship.

The years passed and...

On my 25th Birthday, Mr. C surprised me with a proposal; he flew home to Malaysia (where I was still living at that time) from Brisbane..

End of November 2010, we registered our marriage in a simple, civil ceremony in Brisbane (where we were living at that time).

17th of December 2012 saw us hosting our marriage blessing and luncheon at Oriental Banquet back home, in Malaysia!

Phew.... that sure is  alot of dates to remember.

And speaking of 17th December 2012. I am glad I chose to include a videographer to capture my Malaysia wedding last year.

And Nigel is definitely worth every penny paid!! Now, I have DVD copies of my once-a-lifetime day that I can browse to jog my memory every once in awhile. :p

Nigel Sia of Nigel Sia Visual Storytelling was the official videographer for my friend's sister's wedding early 2011 (hope I got the date right). At that point, he was fairly new in the wedding industry (if I am not mistaken). His portfolio was good and I felt he had real potential to grow. Seeing that my wedding would only take place end of the year, giving him 10 months of extra experience, I booked him.

So, that's how I met or came to decide on the man, Nigel Sia for the job. I never regretted hiring him, not once, at all! He may appear young for a person of his profession but he was every inch a professional and handled Mr. C & my wedding efficiently all the way!

Secondly, what I have to say about his work.

Many people loved the  Save-the-Date clip he came up with for our wedding that we showed before our luncheon walk in. Clicked the link to have a look. We didn't even expect a clip of that sort, at all!

It was interesting 'cos he followed us during our casual pre-wed photoshoot which he included bits and pieces into our wedding highlights but we never really felt him filming at all. The angles, storyline as seem in the final footage for the 'Save-the-date- clip and the wedding day were just spectacularly well done!

Which reminds me, I really have to sit myself down and write a post, or a few, to commemorate my special day, in words.

I know, I know, I've been procrastinating and looked, it's going to be one year since that fateful day. However, it is better to be late than never, right? :)

India Delights again !

Every time I crave for Indian food like Roti Canai or any curry dish, Mr. C and I will head to Rich Maha in Vermont South. After all, it's fairly nearby to where we lived. Plus, it has 80% likes on Urbanspoon (at the time this was posted).

However, we've been told umpteen times that we should patron India Delights 'cos the food is tastier. It has higher 'likes' on Urbanspoon garnering 88% favourites.

Something about a falling out - which seems to go with the territory of going into business often than naught - seeing the chef leaving Rich Maha and starting his own shop, India Delights.

Not too sure if the chef and those who worked there are originally from India but I highly suspect that they're most likely from Malaysia. Awesome Possum!! :)

We've been there once early on during the middle of the year but besides the iced horlicks, I wasn't that impressed. I thought the food was only alright leaving me to still be partial towards Rich Maha.

But you see, I've adopted this habit of not being quick to judge and to always, always give anything - if the first attempt was horrendous - a second attempt before deciding to call it quits.

And so, one fine Thursday evening saw us once again at India Delights in Forest Hill.

Eateries here do offer Mee Goreng but NEVER Maggie Goreng. Hence, I decided to give this a go here. I don't think it was too much to expect it to taste just like the one in Malaysia. However, it basically tasted just like Mee Goreng. Instead of the thick yellow noodles, they used maggie noodles.

What a bummer! At least, I had my teh tarik (basically, it's milk tea with a bit of froth due to the style of making the tea).

Nevertheless, the food was still enjoyable. Just not what I expect it to be. Mr. C as usual, had his rice with 2 veges and a curry fish.

But you know what, in the name of patrotism (LOLS), we will still patronised this eatery every once in awhile. And perhaps, I just haven't tried the dish they're famous for!

Roti Canai next up!!
