If I could be...

#1 A WRITER and pen my first novel... of course, a best seller that would open oh-so-many doors and lead to many more with raving reviews. I am alright if people don't recognised me off the streets but when they here my pen name, they'll know who I am. Now, how awesome that would be.

#2 A PHOTOGRAPHER and make a living out of capturing each and everyone's special occasion and moments may it be a wedding, a pregnancy, the birth of a firstborn, a family or just some random stranger of the street. Getting paid to capturing emotions and happy times whilst receiving praises for a job well done, now, how awesome that would be.

#3 A COOK/BAKER and make hoards and hoards of scrumptious and delectable dishes and desserts from the comforts of my own kitchen and who knows? Open my own shop. Now, how awesome that would be.

#4 A BLOGGER by profession and I get to stay home, go to events, get freebies to keep and/to  review, and all at my time and leisure. Now, how awesome that would be.

It is said that "A pessimist will see the difficulty in every opportunity and an Optimist will see an opportunity in every difficulty" and I find it true. Oh so very true. I may have come a long way from the super Eeyore me of two years ago but the fact that I seem to always think of the cons more than the pros, deluding myself that I am being pragmatic says a fair bit of my optimism, or lack of.

In actual fact, I can do any of the above if I put myself to it. All of us can but we tend to let the world's pressure cave us into decisions we feel we have to take 'cos we're 'responsible adults'. LOL. And if it is not the world, then it is family or friends with their strong and fixed opinions and comments on what one should do rather than what one could do.

So, the question that begs to be answered, as usual, is.. do I conform to what society and certain people think I should do or do I rebel and pursue what I think I would like to do? Follow my heart.. my dream? Then again, seeing how I have more than one dream, it is hard to focus solely on one and make it happen when I am thinking about the other dreams.

And up to this point of time, I still have yet to figure out what I am good at, really good at and what areas to pursue. Like I said, it appears that I am a Jack of all trades and master of none. If I knew what I would love to do, it'll make life decisions so much more easier.

In the later part of 2009, when I left my Audit job without another company's job offer, many said I was being impractical and irresponsible and yada yada yada. If you were not in my shoes, who were you then to judge or give your two cents worth? I knew that I was at a really unhealthy point in my life dwelling on really unhealthy thoughts and to save myself, I just had to get out, no matter the cost and consequences. Even then, I didn't just up and left.

I left my job AFTER my attempt to switch departments didn't materialised. If I couldn't do something other than audit in the same company, then, I had no choice but to leave. And in my heart of hearts, I trusted that God would give me a job; but whether I would like that job was a different question.

True enough, in less than a month of unemployment, I was called in for an interview, given a job that was willing to let me start three months later in the new year and agreed to further increase my pay upon passing both required tests for the relevant role.

Then, I didn't trust God enough to give me a job that paid and that I'd love. Oh, I was of little faith. But now, I don't think it is too much to trust that God will give me a job that I would like, perhaps if asking to love my job is a little too much, and that the job will pay well. Needless to say, I am not expecting a CEO or MD position or the extremely ka-ching pay that comes with it.

After all, God knows me best; He knows my innermost thoughts that perhaps, not even Mr. C knows. How can he when sometimes, I don't even know myself? And if God knows me well, then, he'd know what job will suit me the most and where I will thrive.

And that is what I prayed again last night. For Him to provide that job and preferably that I'd KNOW when the job opportunity does come. I am, of course, not expecting the job to just fall in my lap without lifting a single finger. For Him to do His part, I have to do my own too. Research, research, research and apply, apply and apply!

So, to all other job hunters out there, all the best to you too! ;)

Don't forget, we can be who we want to be and where we crave to be but are we willing to bear the cost and take the necessary measures to reach that desired place? Only you will know.

Encounter weekend

I will be away from tomorrow evening onwards till Sunday evening. It is a journey that I feel somewhat compelled to take. I don't really know what to expect but I hope it'll be worth it. After all, I am giving up a weekend to catch up or meet up with whomever I still haven't had the chance to.

I am told that it'll be a weekend filled with tears and that worries me, just a little.

But after this, I am ready to go back. I am kinda tired going out most evenings catching up with different people and spending time with family in the day and at times, at night. It'll be nice to have some 'me' time. It'll be nice to start my 'new' life.

Besides, I miss my cuddle supplies. =)

15 days of the Chinese New Year

Read this off Facebook shared by an Uncle and think that it's something interesting to share...

Pic taken from HERE

The first day of the Lunar New Year is "the welcoming of the gods of the heavens and earth."Many people abstain from meat on the first day of the new year because it is believed that this will ensure long and happy lives for them.

On the second day, the Chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. They are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.

The third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.

The fifth day is called Po Woo. On that day people stay home to welcome the God of Wealth. No one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.

On the sixth to the 10th day, the Chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. They also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.

The seventh day of the New Year is the day for farmers to display their produce. These farmers make a drink from seven types of vegetables to celebrate the occasion. The seventh day is also considered the birthday of human beings. Noodles are eaten to promote longevity and raw fish for success.

On the eighth day the Fujian people have another family reunion dinner, and at midnight they pray to Tian Gong, the God of Heaven.

The ninth day is to make offerings to the Jade Emperor.

The 10th through the 12th are days that friends and relatives should be invited for dinner.

After so much rich food, on the 13th day you should have simple rice congee and mustard greens (choi sum) to cleanse the system.

The 14th day should be for preparations to celebrate the Lantern Festival which is to be held on the 15th night.

Away in a manger

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given:
and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called
Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God,
The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
ISAIAH 9:6

To many, Christmas is celebrated even by those who aren't Christians. To some, it's about Christmas turkey, party with friends, giving and receiving gifts. If not, to the little ones, it's all about Santa and the reindeer and what they're going to get this Christmas.

From young, I knew that there weren't any Santas. Heck, I get the heebeegeebees seeing them in the malls with kids on their laps eagerly awaiting their pictures to be taken. Mr. C gets a kick of dragging me towards the mall Santas. I knew Rudolf was just make believe. I never get to pick my gifts every year 'cos I never received any (not that I can recall).

I was brought up knowing that Christmas was all about the birth of Jesus. Some of you may ask who is He? Who is this little babe that caused such a season to come about. If you don't believe in Jesus, you probably know Him through the swearing you hear in Hollywood movies and maybe, that's all you know about.

But Jesus is real to many. He has healed many, physically and mentally. But in these past years, with Christmas getting commercialised, many start to forget the meaning of Christmas. We get so caught up in the 'Christmas mood' that we forget why it's celebrated in the first place.

Well, it's not about Santa, his little helpers of reindeers. It's not about turkey and parties. It's not just about gifts.

It's about a precious gift from God- a little baby boy, His only son, borne into the world, for us.

So, Feliz Navidad and may God's blessings be upon you and your families this special season and as we usher in the new year. May 2011 be a better year for all of you! Well, here's hoping it'll be so for me. =)

PEACE OUT!

Power of prayer

My parents came from Buddhist background. Knowing God and Him giving them peace, they gave their lives to Him.They became Christians in their late teens, as they approached adulthood. I, a second generation Christian was brought up with Christian values all my life.

Every Sunday, I'd tag along to church with my family. After the main service, I'd head off to Sunday School happily. In my teens, I'd reluctantly go for the youth meetings till I felt left out and stopped going but I still went for the main service with my family, it wasn't exactly an option and somehow, I never rebelled.

When I met Mr. C in high school, Form 4, to be exact, whilst he was pursuing me, I asked God three times if he was the one for me. And all three times, a lie or a broken promise given by Mr. C would surface. It was either coincidence or it was God's answer to me. You would think that was my answer but instead of saying goodbye to Mr. C, I pushed God away.

Yup. Chose a man, a mere mortal over God. How common is that, right?

On the outward, people always think of me as a Miss Goody-two-shoes or Miss Holy just because I didn't do stuff that they did. I didn't swear. I didn't smoke. I didn't drink. I didn't club. I didn't tell lies or think bad about people.

But after University and through working life, people and circumstances changed my perspective. Things were no longer simple. Nothing was black or white anymore. I gave in to the gray areas and started justifying myself, too. My heart harden and I became jaded and cynical.

Hating my job 24/7 and letting it and everything else in my life eat me up, I gave in to the 'world'- I cave in to my rage, my frustration. It's hard being a Christian with one foot in your Christian calling world and another in the world especially when you, yourself aren't clear which world you belong to. I still went to church. I was physically there but not mentally. Every Sunday was a chore to be dragged up to go to church.

You see, all these while, my faith wasn't mine but my parents. I wanted to make it my own but I just didn't knew how to. That and throw in Mr. C into the equation with me choosing him over God didn't help my already shaky and wavering faith.

I blamed God for playing his cruel jokes on me, for bringing me into the world, for being sadistic by putting me through all the heartache and suffering. I was mad at God and at the world. I was mad but I still talked to Him. I still asked Him why and came May last year, I got tired of regretting everything and started doing something with my life. I asked God what's the point in living, what was the reason of life and started making my own choices, even when some perceived it to be not good ones.

I left my job in October without any other job offers. Some would call it rash and some would even say that it was an irresponsible and a dumb move. I had a hard time with my mother. But I was just desperate to get out and regain whatever of my sanity I had left.

But when I left, I was happy. I got to spend time with my family. Sleep in. Go on family trips.

When I made a decision to resign, although having the knowledge and faith of a primary school Sunday School kid, I somehow believed that there is a God and that this God would provide me a job, whether I'd like the job or not wasn't the point. The point was, I knew He would. That was just some wild belief called faith. I don't know where it came from, it was just that- a belief.

True enough, in less than a month of resigning, I was offered a job at a bank, with my current Assistant Manager position (although it was a different industry which I wasn't familiar with at all and usually, one gets a level down demotion) and they gave in to my request for a pay increment. Besides that, they wanted me to start in December or as soon as possible but I didn't want to give up my vacation just yet, and asked to start in January 2010, to which they said, alright.

Every year, I think the new year will be a better year than before but it usually isn't the case. I made some bad mistakes early in the year and people were hurt. I was hurt again. In April, I left my job to come to Brisbane to be with Mr. C. We didn't have any concrete plan in hand but I, once again, somehow believed that God would see me through it all.

Many wondered at the suddenness of it but I knew that if I didn't do something, then everything would end and I would be travelling on a different road right now. Who knows? It could've been a better one. But I took a different road.

With my blind faith, I flew to Brisbane. Seven months down the road, although I am unemployed and Mr. C only has enough resources for us to last another 2-3 months, I am still here, I have food to eat, clothes to wear, a place to live and I am relatively happy.

Of course, life isn't absolute perfection and it is still an ongoing journey.

I am ashame to admit it but I don't pray everyday as I should. Last Thursday, before I fell asleep, I somehow felt compelled to pray. And I did that. I asked God to show me what plans that he has in store for Mr. C and I, to help us to find a church to settle down in, a church that we can grow and get to know Him more. To bring people into our paths, to give me friends as I get pretty lonesome without my girlfriends. To just show me what's the next step.

You can call it coincidence again but on Friday, when I had lunch with my grandaunt, she questioned Mr. C and I about our walk with God (which is something she hasn't asked the past visits we had with her). I know I had been slacking about church hunting and felt indignant. I was annoyed, thinking who was she to question, lecture me and being all righteous but as she continued 'testing' Mr. C, I realised that it was a wake up call to my prayer- to not be complacent. I may not agree with her high handedness but it was a prod. A push to wake up.

On Sunday, talking to an aunt (A Malaysian that Mr. C got to know through her son who also worked nearby) and she was recounting her journey from New Zealand to Australia and how praying is important. I felt once again that I was being prompted, being reminded to pray. To trust in Him. After that, she introduced an uncle who had some good news for Mr. C about job opportunities in the engineering field.

Like I said, you can say it's pure coincidence but I'd say it's all God. That's the only thing that makes sense actually.

I am not a super religious person or a person who loves God so much or praises Him all the time. If you were my family or close friends, you'd know that. Which is why I wonder why a friend commented yesterday that I am getting more religious, I wonder what on earth that means 'cos I definitely don't go preaching. I hardly ever mention God or anything related to Christianity.

To me, I believe that I should right myself first. As a Christian, we have a higher standard to uphold- something which I haven't been doing. To me, I feel that my life and how I live it will be my testimony. I don't want to be a pot calling the kettle black and be a walking hypocrite, pushing Christianity down people's throats.

Right now, I am trying to undo my bad habits.

Confession, these days, the f-word comes out so easily much to the annoyance of Mr. C. Yeah. Surprise Surprise. I use that word.

Initially, it was a way to express my frustrations. Then, I thought it was funny to say it. Now, it's hard to STOP saying it. Once again, the me, one year before never swore or say or do certain things.

Now, I am on a path of discovery. I want to be able to tell people why I believe in God. Why He is real to me. I want to know who He is and how is the bible, being such an ancient book, still relevant to us. I want this faith to be real and not be just something other people talk about or have misconceptions.

And once again, I have to keep reminding myself, to pray.

To believe in Him, to trust Him and to pray.

Oracle Paul, the octopus

Earlier on in the evening, Mr. C was getting anxious about the Germany match in three hours as he's an ardent Germany fan.

His colleague who hails from England said earlier in the World Cup match that if Germany won against the match with England, she wouldn't talk to him. Germany won. But she still talks to him reiterating once again on my point that EVERYONE loves him. Then again, she didn't bring up the topic up til now.

When his housemates were rooting for Argentina, he chided them for betting against him- a Germany fan. No points for guessing who won. Yup. Germany!

I exclaimed to Mr. C over his anxiety that it's just a football game- not exactly the end of the world. Then again, I am a female who sees footie as 22 guys chasing after a ball. So, what would I know, right??!

He quipped that if Germany didn't win, he will have to wait for another four, slow agonising years to see Germany to glory. To which I said, "Oh well, it's just another four years away." =p

So what will it be? Who is your final pick in the Germany vs Spain match in three hours time? Germany? Spain? Or first half Spain and second half Germany or the other way round? Only football betters would get my meaning.

Well, for those who are thinking of placing bets but can't seem to decide either, Paul, the Oracle Octopus has picked Spain. What a traitor, considering that Paul, the octopus IS German!

For those who are clueless of this supposedly FAMOUS octopus, Paul has successfully predicted all five of Germany's games this World Cup, thus being hailed a psychic, an oracle and what not. Google it and you'll find many links.

How does such a "miracle" work you ask? Well, click on the video below or read THIS article to know more or The Six Faced Blogger's account on it. =)

Many are hoping that perhaps Paul had an off day just like when he mispredicted Germany to win the final Euro 2008 against Spain.

Despite Paul's predictions, Mr. C and I will be cheering "GERMANY... GOAL! GOAL! GOAL!" all the way.

My question is- what is Paul, the GERMAN octopus' destiny IF *touch wood* (that's if you're superstitious) Germany's fate is as predicted by Paul??!!

As cliche as it may sound, only time will tell.

Save The Regent Theatre at Brisbane

There has been some hoo haa this past few weeks in Queensland- right in the heart of Brisbane City itself as The Regent Theatre, a multi-cinema palace, situated at 167 Queen Street along Queen Street Mall is scheduled to be demolished and a high-rise office tower built in its place end of this year, if I am not mistaken.

Picture taken from HERE.
Grand, palatial, opulent... the original Regent Theatre in Brisbane.
Stage with Wurlitzer organ shown, circa 1954. Built 1929 - demolished 1978. 2580 seats.

You can read more about the history, the protests, the efforts put in at
the savetheregent.com site run by Brett Debritz and also at ourbrisbane.com.

Why would anybody want to preserve an old building when it's not generating any income or much income, right? They might as well turn it into a money making building! Guess that's the message to the new generation- Discard the old when they are no longer bringing in income but instead milking your hard earn money for medical bills etc.

So, old folks, you better start planning for your impending doom of being thrown out of your house and make sure you save a wagon load of gold for your old age. I was being sarcastic just in case you don't know.

Then again, I thought that this kind of thing only happens in "backward" uncultured countries like Malaysia (not being unpatriotic but stating reality) where historical buildings are demolished to make way for newer, so-called-more-modern, commercialised buildings instead of preserving history and its heritage.

In 2001, The Bukit Bintang Girls School (BBGS) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia was demolished several years after celebrating its centenary (once every 100 years), due to its proximity to office buildings and shopping malls.

Guess what they build in the place of this historical school??!!
Yet another shopping mall- The Pavillion. As if we're lacking in that at all!!

SO, don't let the fate of The Regent be like the BBGS!!
You may say it's just a theatre... a cinema... what's the big deal?
Read the above links and you will know...

If you are from Australia or narrowing it closer to home- Queensland, do sign the petition HERE or HERE. You can also join the Facebook group HERE. If you aren't but know of anyone who does, do share this with them so that they can sign the petition. It is imperative to get as many signature as soon as possible!

So, to all of you out there who has a voice,
who believes in a worthy cause,
do your bit and sign the petition to save THE REGENT!

Packing up

I am leaving soon and I've yet to packed up everything. I am probably only 1/3 packed and ready. Even my heart and my mind.

It's not the same as going for holiday for a month and coming back. Right where things are at the moment, yeah sure, I'll be back in a few months. That's the current plan.

But at the thought of a permanent move, I thought I would be ready. Excited. Jumping for joy. However, leaving somethings behind. Leaving friends behind. Either it's normal to have such mixed feelings or I am having cold feet.

It's not that I am going over to marry or have no life. Of course, I am excited to see him. To be with him again.
Don't get me wrong. But I only have an aunt, 2 cousins and him. That's it. I don't have any friends there. So, it's going to be a big move. A big sacrifice on my part.

Especially for the past 4 years of LDR, I've been on my own. Going about on my own. Hanging out with my friends and whatnot. Having a life.

Where to start first?

Boxes and junk.

My precious books all packed up... the only thing that is packed.

More miscellaneous memorabilia.

Stationeries... wrapping papers & ribbons... papers... magazines.

Things that I will be bringing minus the DVDs.

Things that needs to go into storage box.

More junk under the table with bills, house matters to sort.

But you know what, I think it's for the best. It's time to close this chapter of my life and start a new one. Shucks. Now til Wednesday to pack and I'll be out the whole day and night tomorrow, Tuesday and Wednesday night.

When am I going to find time to pack up everything? -_-'

Glum

Pic taken from HERE.

I don't know why exactly but I have been feeling rather glum the whole day. I wished I could just snap out of it because feeling this icky feeling isn't fun. Not.One.Bit. Perhaps it's the feeling of uncertainties. Or the fact that I still have to go to work. Or perhaps it's the other niggling thing that I can't say out loud.

I don't want to read more into things than they are and I don't want to second guess things anymore. I am weak willed, I admit. I give in easily. I can't seem to put my foot down for some reasons unfathomable by me.

If you piss me off, chances are, I'll just smile it away and try not to make a mountain out of it when all I want to do is smack you silly. If what you say or do or don't say or don't do irks me, chances are, I'll just be mad but not stay mad at you forever. Why is that so? What am I so afraid of to let people know when they've annoyed me? Why do I even care?

Questions after questions... but the answers elude me. They always do.

All I can say is, I hope tomorrow will be a better day.

A glumless day.

A blurry me

It's never easy to blog honestly. To really talk about one's journey in life only to be scrutinised and criticised or judged by others especially if one is a famous person. Then again, who am I kidding? I am just an ordinary person. A plain jane. Another human to walk this planet earth.

But whatever it is, it's always been an outlet to express myself despite being drummed into me that one has to be careful what one says or think or act and you know what? After awhile, it gets really tiring.

It gets really tiring to always having to be in control of oneself. One's emotions. One's behavior. One's thoughts and the list just goes on.

I used to really blog about how I feel. What I go through and perhaps not exactly what's going on but at least, I was true to my own feelings. I knew myself. These days, everything is kind of a blur. I don't know what exactly am I feeling nor what do I really want and it stinks. Even my blogging is a jumble of mess.

What used to be black now seems white or gray. What used to be wrong, now doesn't seem so.

It really stinks not knowing.

But all I know is that I need to do something about it. And fast. I can't keep kidding myself or cajoling myself anymore that all will be well or things will just fall in its place.

When you let go of that control, just even for that one time, it changes everything.

It changes everything.

Is it CNY or is it Valentines?

How much would you spend on that special someone?

Is it really worth the price?

And 1 year from now or 5 years down the road, will the present even matter?

Does one need to buy something just to show one's love?

Is the latest Guess watch and bracelet something really that unforgettable? Is this how one's love is measured these days?

A present..a nice present.. then a bigger present... perhaps, a more expensive present?

I think as the years pass, we forget the meaning of love and what it's all about. Valentines Day is yet another that has been commercialised. You see flowers being sold. Heart shape objects everywhere. But is that what this is all about?

We hear love songs being written and sung. About breakup and heartaches. About love triangle and love not reciprocated. We watch love movies and how people fall so easily in love and so easily out of love. We see people fall in love and yet do stupid things. We see people in love do hurtful things to the people they love.

Tell me, what is love? Cos I really want to know.

I thought I knew the answer. I thought I new what it meant.

But that's what I thought...

However, if you're that lucky person who knows what love is and you have that special someone, NEVER ever forget why that person is special to you. Never forget the love you both have and never take it for granted.

Lastly, HAPPY VALENTINES DAY.

a-not-so-great-year-ahead?

I read the below off someone's who posted it on their FB and if I were to believe it then basically, I am going to have one hell of a "great" year. It's only the beginning of 2010 and I've made so many blunders.

But you know what? I am going to attempt to brave the storm with my head held high... or at least that's the plan.

2010 Chinese Horoscope for people born in Rat years: 1900, 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008.

Pic taken from HERE.

If your birthday is before February 4, then your astrological sign is Pig, not Rat. (Verify Your Sign)

When Rat people meet Tiger year, they will be running around all the time. This is because Tiger is the Travel Star to Rat In Chinese Horoscope. This implies that Rat people will be busy in 2010 and might have to travel more or work far away for their jobs. Since they might work longer hours or overtime, they will feel lonely especially while traveling. If Rat people need to drive on work, then they have to drive carefully to prevent trouble related to law. Rat people need to use more brain power for the daily activity during the spring. But they will gain help and support after summer.

Career: Rat people don't have any significant career sign in 2010. Some troubles or obstacles might appear to keep your job busy. Don't put your career expectation too high. You need to think twice before leaping for any career opportunity. Your enemy might talk about your bad reputation behind your back. As long as you do things slowly and surely, your career will stabilize. People who appreciate, care, and support you also will appear often between April and October. In general, the career luck will be up and down. You can obtain your return, but you need to work hard.

Money: There is a hidden Money Star inside the Tiger for Rat people. But the Money is required your performance and achievement to get it. We know Tiger will keep Rat people busy. That means the more active you are, the more money you earn. Since the money comes from your hardship, you need to watch your expenses. If you have extra savings, then it's fine for the long term investment. But you need to consider twice or say no if your friends or relatives ask for a short term loan. The money luck is not that good, you don't have to push yourself too much and impact your health.

Love: Rat people don't have Romantic or Love sign appearing in 2010. If you are in love, then relationship development won't be that smooth. You might encounter some obstacles and pressure. It's normal that sometimes you feel a little bit lonely, because of Tiger. If you are a married person and face job pressure often, then you need to control your emotion in your family. Otherwise, it's easy to create an argument at home and impact the family's harmony. If you haven't found your true love yet, then you might have better chance in April or August to meet someone you can talk with.

Health: One Unlucky Star related to health is coming to Rat people's life in year of Tiger. Something unexpected might happen to you and affect your emotion. Plus, the pressure from your job or business, you must watch for your health. You need to learn how to take a break for your work, spend some time for entertainment or join friend's party to relax yourself. Try to avoid any disputes with people, as it will impact your health, especially in May. If you don't have any health issues, then an elder or someone close to you might have poor health in 2010.

Fortune: Rat people will have much lesser pressure than last year. The most important factor has to pay attention is the health. This is because Tiger year will make you busy and you need a good health to handle the pressure. If you like to solve problems, remove the hinder, and challenge troubles, then 2010 will be a good year to you. If you don't like to face trouble, then 2010 is still a fair year to you, because your helper will appear after you cannot find the solution for the trouble.

Traveling, overwork, overtime, moonlighting jobs are good signs for the career. If the job is there, then the money comes into your door. But the stable income doesn't mean a good money luck. You still need to watch your spending and investment. If you are too greedy, it might cause a money loss. You will be busy and will be full of activities in your daily life. Therefore, people can see whatever you speak, act and perform. Your performance can determine your career or reputation. If you don't do your work in a smart way, your image will be damaged too. People born in 1996 will have good performance in school.

PC Fair + hot babes = crazy turnout

BLOGS: Check out C-O-C-O's, GilbertZai's and DoggyJamesSay's post on PC fair babes.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Last weekend was a crazy weekend especially at KLCC where the PC Fair was held. According to my "wonderful" friend, guys flock there to check the babes out. And here I thought, it was the good deals that drew the crowd.

Two friends and I took a ride on the LRT (Light Rail Transit aka like a subway only we don't really have subways in Malaysia) to KLCC (Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre) which is definitely more convenient in terms of NOT having to pay exorbitant parking tickets, NO NEED for unnecessary petrol consumption and NOT having to brave the crazy KL jam!

I was looking for some good deals to perhaps purchase a 1TB hard disc or a thumb drive for my mum but the deals weren't exactly that great IMHO.

Babes, however, were everywhere! Some were scantily clad border lining to looking slutty (IMHO once again) , some were dressed in just polo shirts but nonetheless still look chun and some were decked out in elegant mini dresses.

I was too engrossed with making my way alive through the crowd to take pictures. Hence, I've "borrowed" some from some bloggers and linked it back to them.

PICTURE 1 and 2 was taken from C-O-C-O's blog. PICTURE 3 to 5 were taken from GilbertZai's blog.

Very striking ladies in their outfit topped off by their outstanding little hats!
Looking very slim, trendy and pretty.
I doubt I'll ever achieved that slimness level. =p

She looks really sweet and photogenic!!

Awww.. girl in pink with a mega watt smile!

Er... let's just say, I wouldn't like my daughter to dress nor look like that... EVER!
Not being judgmental ok, I am just a conservative gal! =p

Told you these ladies were striking that they must have had their pictures taken a billion times! and such great posers.
I would be tooo shy and conscious. Silly, I know.

This was the C-R-A-Z-Y crowd that one has to initially battle at the beginning.

Some people will always have doctor- nurse fetish!

PA mode

QUOTE: "Seeing much, suffering much, and studying much are the three pillars of learning." -Benjamin Disraeli (1804 - 1881)

Benjamin Disraeli was a British Prime Minister among other things. Read HERE for more info.

Pic taken from HERE.

It's that time again where I thought I had everything under control. Boy, was I wrong.

Just yesterday, I was pretty impressed with how cool, calm and collected I was about my exam tomorrow.

Just now, I went into slight PA* mode and started thinking, "what if I were to fail?"
"What if what I wrote is not good enough?"
"What if my cakar ayam (A malay saying for illegible handwriting. Literal translation: chicken scratchings) handwriting was too hard to decipher?"
"What if I just froze again like last round and took time to reorganise my thoughts??"

At this time, tomorrow, it'll be OVER.

And it better be over for GOOD. I don't think I can bear it if I didn't pass and I don't plan to put myself through this torture again.

*PA- panic attack

Bad luck...

I seem to be really klutzy. I previously broke my long mirror and now the above mirror few days back. Supposedly, there is a myth that if you break a mirror, you'll get 7 years of bad luck.

Gosh. So, I wonder how many years of bad luck would that lead to seeing that I broke that looong mirror and now my tiny mirror! Aarrghh!

Not that I believe in the myth but should I be daunted by this encounter??

My holy secret

BLOG REVIEW: OMG!! Check out this blog, Art by CTTK! I really like her blog layout and her content. So very artsy. Content is simple and yet it speaks volume.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Everyone has secrets hidden somewhere in their closet. Perhaps some are buried deep inside and yet some are just prancing around, wanting to be out in the open.

For me, I have had this secret that I have been keeping for a long time. My pet brother deems it, my "holy secret". To think about, it's actually been a VERY looong time since I've had this secret. So long that it probably dates back to more than 3 years. I can safely bet that it perhaps date back almost up to 10 years! That, I kid you not.

The very thing is, I would like to tell someone about it. Not because I can't keep a secret but more so because of this secret, I have been holding back. A LOT. You have no idea. And it's been keeping me shackled in my very own prison. A prison without wars to break free from.

And in order to move forward, to move on, I need to tell this secret out. BUT it's not a secret you can just blab out to any Ahmad, Ah Beng or Muthu. It needs to be said to the RIGHT person. A person who can help. And the other problem is, I need some answers before I can confess out this holy secret of mine.

I wonder when that would be...
