Perfectly timed photos

Came across this bunch of photos in an email sent by my daddyinlaw and thought it was worth sharing. Some of the photos looked pretty real where else some looked like they were photoshopped. I chose not to include the really fake looking ones in this post.

One or two of the pictures really got me laughing. For one, I laughed but I haven't the faintest why I laughed out loud at that particular picture. Oh gosh, my humour better not be getting all twisty and sadistic. ;p

Little perk me ups

On crabby, gloomy days, everyone needs some perk me ups.

If you have thoughtful, loving friends and family nearby to shower you with awesomeness to shoo those gloom away...

Good on you.

For people like me who am away from loved ones (or people just forget about), this is how I brighten up my day.

Hope it brings a smile onto your face. Even if it is for awhile. :)

Thor-menting Thor jokes

Thor-long as in 'TOLONG', a Malay word for 'Help'

This past week, my FB wall has been flooded with Thor jokes. I don't think it is the whole world or even in Aussie but it seems to only have plagued fellow Malaysians. LOL. Everytime I logged in to FB, I see Thor-like jokes and people lamenting how THOR-mented they are with THOR-ibble Thor-jokes.

Cantonese word 'Pak Tor' meaning courting/dating

I have been wondering what spurred this Thor virus but no one could answer my question. Today, as I trailed my FB wall, I clicked a link that lead to CHEECHINGY.COM. And she blogged how she and her colleagues laughed at the below Thor-rendous joke.

And one of her colleague came out with the below which apparently went abuzz. 'Ajinomo-Thor' aka Ajinamoto, a MSG.
It went viral leading to another colleague of hers to Thor-ment us with his creation of 'To-Thor' for 'TOTO' the lottery game.
Which spurred the blogger, Chee Ching with her own Thor-tured version of 'Ja-Thor' for 'Jatuh', a Malay word for fall and Thor-morrow.

More Thor-iffic Thor jokes on FB like the one above but gosh.. the below one is just THOR MUCH!! Enough already!! So, anyone have any other ideas how this whole Thor series started??

Book or boob?!

Last night, Mr. C, my sister and I watched 'Sound of music' on tivo. During a commercial break, I asked Mr. C to pass me my book which was just next to him to which he gave me this look of how should I describe it? A look of shock or cluelessness.

I remembered thinking, what's with his expression?? and being perplexed, I raised my voice a notch in annoyance, "my book! My BOOK!  MY BOOK!!".

When he just sat and stare at me whilst I just leaned over and grab the book.

That's when realisation sink in and what he said next to me was really hilarious.

He had thought I said," Please squeeze my boob" hence, the shocked look. And icing of the cake was the part where I got irked and he heard me saying "my boob! My BOOB! MY BOOB!!" really loudly!

Seriously, a LOL moment. My hubby. LOLs.

Funny Mr. C

As I was clearing through my old notebook and sorting out the notes written inside to decide which important points to transfer over to the new, 2012 notebook, I came across the below note and realised that I've yet to blog it!

Saturday 19 March 2011 4.59pm

Incident #1
As I bopped to Michael Buble's "Haven't met you yet", Mr. C said,"Michael Bubbles". I don't know how to put it into words but just the way he said it, brought a smile to my face. Perhaps, it's his corniness. LOL.

Incident #2
Me : I haven't seen any fat or chubby chicks in Melbourne...
Mr. C : Got.
Me : You're referring to me right?!!
Mr. C : haha...
Me : o_O"

Thursday 24th March 2011

Incident #3
As Mr. C slide both his hands down my cheeks, he exclaimed, "wahhh... so smooth. Help me!! I can't get a grip!". To which I haven't the faintest to faint or laugh at his corniness.

Daddy O amusement

Sometimes the things my mum and dad say can be pretty funny and humourous but somehow, when I put it into words, the humour seems to fall flat. Oh well, but I gather it's better to write them out than not at all.

So, when they drive me crazy with their eccentricities and antics, I'll remind myself about their funny side.

*******************************************************

Just received a call from a Head Hunter asking my interest in a regional Internal Audit position and told my dad about it.

Daddy O : See, get a job here. You don't have to look for a job, it comes looking for you.

Me : Er... Perhaps the fact that I have a husband based in Melbourne?! Doubt he'll want to be parted with his wife.

Daddy O : But you'll be closer to daddy here.

Me : LOL and Awww....

- UPDATE -
I sense my dad looking at me as I go about my own things on the laptop in the family TV room.

Daddy O : I shouldn't have let you go in the first place.

Me : o_O" A bit late la, dad.

Daddy O in Malaysian English

Scene 1a
Out in Taman Megah after Bak Kut Teh (not my cup of tea) dinner in Taman Mayang.

As we drove past the fruit seller near Fatty Crab.
Daddy O : OI!!!!

Scene 1b
As we walked back to the car after buying his wholemeal bread from Cake Sense, dad bumped into his friend and was chatting away cheerily.

Us in the car.
Me : Wah... talk to your friend, so friendly and happy with a smile on your face. But when I talk to you, you give me your fierce, sour face. So double standard.

Daddy O : Of course lah... Haven't seen a friend for so long and when bumped into him, definitely have to put on a smile even though I am in pain (my dad's been having frozen shoulder for several months now and the pain can be rather unbearable most times rendering him surly but even then... ).

Scene 1c
Us in the car passing by Fatty Crab and the fruit seller, headed home.

Daddy O : OI!! HUJAN!! BALIK OHHH....

Me : OMG.

Scene 2
Dad is sitting in the lounge room upstairs reading news on the net.

As I turned on the hairdryer in the bathroom (next to the lounge room) to dry my hair.
Daddy O : AIYAH!! The noise. You ar, give me headache only...

Me : I need to dry my hair. You shouldn't let the smallest things annoy you lah, dad.

And I closed the bathroom door to muffle the sound. LOL.

Scene 3
In my brother's room where I currently reside.

Daddy O : Don't go out. It's raining heavily. What are you doing? Always going out when I am home.

Me : Cannot lar... Already cancelled on my friend yesterday. Plus, you didn't say that you'll be around. If I had known earlier, I wouldn't have make plans ma...

Scene 3a
As I pull off the pore pack stuck on my forehead, nose and chin.

Daddy O : Yer... see how dirty... all the dirt.

Me : At least, I am pulling the dirt out unlike yours still stuck in your face. ;p

Daddy O : Give me one mask. I also want to put on my face.

Me : o_O"

Gen Y!!

Lack of time and poor time management makes it hard for me to blog. Checking my mail and came across this one that just had to be shared for some laughs. Enjoy!

***************************************

The Greatest Generation is people born before 1946.

The Baby Boomers are people born between 1946 and 1959.

Generation X is people born between 1960 and 1979.

Generation Y is people born between 1980 and now.

Why do we call the last one generation Y?

I did not know, but a cartoonist explains it eloquently below... Learned something new today

Pearls of wisdom from Mylo

Was clearing my inbox and ridding it of junkmails when I came across an ex-colleague's mail on pearls of wisdom learnt from her beloved Mylo. Initially, I thought 'yet another forward junkmail...' but the name Mylo rang a bell and instead of hitting the 'delete' button, I read everything right till the end.

Read the below, loved it and just had to share it!

Funny Camz has always had a way with words - witty and insane! Guess it must run in the family as her cousin, Master Chand is the genius behind 'Pearls of wisdom from Mylo'.

Take a guess on who Mylo is.. there's a picture at the end revealing Mylo's identity.

Remember, if Mylo was the teacher you would learn things like:

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy.

Take naps.

Stretch before rising.

Play daily.

Thrive on attention and let people touch you.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

Speak , when necessary.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lie on a cool floor.

When you're happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

Be loyal.

Never pretend to be something you're not.

Be Silent and observe.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently.

FEEL THE ENERGY AND.........

ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!!!
