Hi Melbourners, have you guys ever been to Palais Theatre? Or even heard of this maginificent looking theatre? Well, neither did I 'till I bought two AUD10 (normally AUD20) tickets to watch 'New York New York' that was on special.
What's 'New York New York' you asked?
Well, during the second week of July, there was the Music on Film Festival going on in Melbourne and the Palais Theatre was screening different musical like films. Besides the Disney one that wasn't on offer, the rest lacked appeal. Only Liza Minelli's name - who starred in New York New York - stood out together with Robert De Niro and hence, we bought the ticket to watch them both.
Movie was alright. Theatre is beautiful!
