I got milk!

We've been out of milk for the week and I've been resorted to green tea and black tea (basically, tea without milk!). Indulging in less milk has it's good and it's bad. The good would be, less milk means less fats consumed that are not burnt off means a thinner me. That being said, milk has the important nutrients that I need as a woman - calcium!

Today I am glad. Glad that I finally have milk for my tea! I notice that in Australia, people are more of coffee drinkers just like Mr. C, where else I am more of a tea drinker. Don't get me wrong. I won't say 'no' to coffee and I do enjoy a cuppa every now and then. But in the comforts of my own home, tea just tickles my fancy!

How I digress.

This post started out with my intention to blog about my joys of finally purchasing milk and how I got it but then...

As I said before, despite my heart's wishes to write a novel one day, I am bad with telling stories. It's just SO me to ramble all over the place and not in chronological order.

My humble apologies. Let me try again...

I woke up late, again. The skies that greeted me today wasn't the same that greeted me last week. It wasn't all sunshine and happiness. Instead, it was gloomy and grey skies.

Despite the gloomy skies enveloped by grey clouds, an ominous signs of eminent rain, I changed into decent clothing, topped off with my over worn, knee length blue jacket and trudged out to Stud Park Centre, 20 minutes walk from my house.

The real reason I forced myself out of the house, a rare occurrence, is because the books I borrowed from the library were due today.

As I walk through the park - a shortcut, I reckon - I just couldn't stop myself from whipping out my Ixus 100is and snapped away gleefully, frame upon frame.

Somehow, I feel like it's my calling to take pictures of landscapes, of the greens and the blues. Everytime I see flowers or plants, there is always this urge to capture it, to immortalise it. And that's what I do. Inadequately, of course. But hopefully, my skills will improve in time.

I just love how blue the skies are over here, unlike the ones that we see back home in Malaysia. I could lie on the inviting grass and stare up into the skies all day long. To curl up under a tree, contentedly skimming pages and pages of novels. Disappearing into the magical world of olden times and being swept off one's feet by the likes of dashing Dukes, muscular Marquess and all sorts of suave Lords.

The parks here are simple and yet lovely. Newly installed benches overlooking the lake. Wet mud by recent rain. Looking at the trees and leaves, or lackof, one can tell that Winter is now upon us. At the start of Autumn, grasses were green and branches adorned by leaves have now, withered away leaving many trees bare.

See what I mean about ominous dark clouds??

Maple leaves at the foot of the naked trees...

Anyways, cutting across the park and along a row of houses, I journeyed on as the weight of the books and magazines borrowed took a toll. Sadly, no cute guys were out jogging nor walking their dogs. It was just rows and rows of bare, naked trees and dark skies!

After 20minutes of laborious walk, I reached Stud Park safely and in one piece. God was kind and the sun shone brightly down at me, leading to yet another round of clicks and snaps. Hurriedly went to the library, returned about eight books (of which 5 were hardcovers contributing to the insane pain and 3 were paperback novels) and five magazines!

After the library, headed to Coles to get my milk and two packs of PODs that were on sale!! Sssshhhh.. don't tell Mr. C! =) It's now hidden in the cupboard either to bring home for my family or to indulge on my sad and gloomy days!

I tried on two dresses in a shop opposite Coles (always peeking what the mannequins wear whenever I am in the vicinity!) - a nude coloured, knee length, one shouldered dress for AUD50 and a AUD90 pink, chiffon, ankle length dress with a strap from the chest across the right shoulder. I really like BOTH dresses but my flabby tummy shows... hence, I shall exert self-control, lose my fats and if by then, the dress is still around, I'll get it!

Of course, if I have a job by then! =)

AND this is how I got my milk for my tea!! Oh the simple things that makes us jump and sing for joy.

On a different note, I SUCK at describing anything!! Feelings, things, everything and anything! Urghh!
