Despite the fact that tablets can still be considered an emerging technology, science fiction writers were describing something very similar as long as forty years ago. My son had gone from not knowing all that much about current bands, to knowing quite a lot in a short space of time. The Transcendent Identity does not become invested or attached to any of the roles of the Ego or other Identities, but stands outside them. The purpose of this is to cause the frequency of your brainwaves to match - or entrain to - the frequency of the stimulus.
