DIY : Review on DIY hair dyes

My hair has been bugging me of late. My roots were showing and my hair looked mangly and dry. Well, to me it did.

Last year whilst I was residing in Brisbane, two friends bought me a package that consists of a hair cut, wash and colour for a special occasion! As I've tried the fringe cut many times leading to disastrous end results as blogged before and because I am not allowed to cut my hair short, I just wanted a change.

#1 Me in early January 2011, with my mangly dry looking hair before anything was done since I permed and had it streaked in 2007

#2 Me, enjoying my profiteroles at Toowong Village before the 'makeover' or so I thought...

#3 Me, who opted for half head foils instead... blonde streaks as recommended by the hairstylist and NiNi!

#4 Me, getting my hair washed unveiling my streaks... looked alright here when it was in clumps..

#4 Me, with the hubs. Once the streaks spread out, it looked rather horrendous rendering me an AhLian

#5 Me, holding ang pow money to be given out. My hair looked better tied up and not-so-dry looking...

#6 Me, contemplating re-dying my hair as I just wasn't used to the blonde streaks

#7 Me in February 2011, after using Liese's Cherry Pink's awesome and easy to use hairdye

#8 Me, with ex-highschool mates! Don't know what made me laugh with total abandonment... =)

#9 Me, getting used to my 'cherry pink' reddish hair... definitely better than before 'cos my hair doesn't look so dry and AhLia-ish anymore...

#10 Me, with the brother at Genting Highlands... I like the red haired me...
gave me an edgier look (or so i thought) and made me feel sexy =p LOL

#11 Me in May 2011, moved to Melbourne straight after coming back from Malaysia and CNY hols,
the Liese's hairdye colour started fading leaving my streaks an orange hue...

#12 Me, with my short eyebrow! I know.. looks yucky right?! Reminds me, I need to learn how to drow my brows and elongate it...

#13 Me, with my dry looking streaks... so beh tahan...

#14 Hence, yesterday, I dyed my own hair in the comforts of my own home despite reading reviews on the good and the bad of DIY hairdying...

#15 Me, with my favourite cookie monster jumper and fancy schmancy Nex3! My hair looks like it's back to my original colour plus it looks healthier too!

#16 Me, looking happy and satisfied!

#17 Me, with my typical tongue out face... hair looks lighter when the sun shines at it... otherwise, it's rather dark ish looking for a 'Light Brown' shade...

Overall, I am pretty happy with Shwarzkopf's Perfect Mousse hair dye. Firstly, it's easy to use and definitely less hassle than the old kind of hair dyes because I opt for this foam version. All you do is mix the mixture, turn it upside down and invert it again but DON'T shake the mixture and make it bubbly. After that, just press the foam out onto gloved hands and spread it over your hair!

The box comes with good and concise, easy to follow instructions. I like how the hair dye doesn't have strong and stinging smell together with the conditioner provided. My hair definitely feels softer than the old school kind of hair dye.

After using Liese's foamy hair dye and Shwarzkoph's , I realised that it's more friendly on the hair and less harsh. My hair isn't tangly and it doesn't feel dry ish. Besides, this kind of dye is good as it does not have ammonia in it!

You can get Shwarzkopf's Perfect Mousse hair dye for about AUD 16-18 but I got it from Coles when it was on sales, I think about AUD10 or AUD13. Can't remember. I bought this to try out as I couldn't find Liese brand here which sells in Malaysia's Guardian pharmacy and Sasa! It's less than RM40 for a box of it. I thought it was a tad pricey but it's comparable to going to a salon. =)

You can read HERE, HERE and HERE for some reviews on Schwarzkopf's Perfect Mousse and HERE, HERE and HERE for Liese's.

Ok. Now, I got to go get ready for my date tonight with Mr. C. ;p

I think her response was justifiable. She is a person with feelings like everyone else. Had someone come at ole girl like that on her Facebook, I'm sure she would've made a wolf kostüm
big deal....now take into consideration the numbers of people who see her Twitter page on a daily basis.

Thеre are two ρrincipal spеcіeѕ of ginseng and
they're Asian Ginseng (Panax ginseng) which is identified in China, Japan, and Korea and American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) that grows mainly in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Georgia, Oklahoma, British Columbia, and Ontario. There is certainly a 3rd selection identified as red ginseng or Korean ginseng that may be very little besides processed Asian ginseng. There exists one more range identified as Siberian ginseng that is not a true ginseng, but is yet another plant (Eleutherococcus senticosus) with pretty much equivalent medicinal qualities. Siberian ginseng incorporates chemicals called eleutherosides, in its place of ginsenosides.
